Every year, we meet children throughout the Twin Cities living with severe, long-term lice infestations. Many of these children come from incredibly difficult circumstances and have gone months — sometimes even years — without access to proper support or care. For many families, professional lice removal is simply financially out of reach.

The Lice Lady Foundation was created to help change that. Our mission is to help provide lice removals, head checks, education, and support to local children and families who may otherwise go without care. We work to support children whose lice situations are impacting daily life, comfort, confidence, sleep, learning, and social well-being. Lice is often much bigger than just lice.

In many of the severe cases we see, families are overwhelmed, resources are limited, and children are struggling silently. Chronic infestations can affect a child’s ability to focus in school, participate socially, sleep comfortably, and simply feel confident around others.

Through community support, donations, and partnerships, the Lice Lady Foundation helps connect children with professional care and relief.
